Barot invites Scott Mager to host “Power Up” event targeted to youth at The Gardens

The Gardens apartment complex, located in Opa-Locka, Florida, will feature motivational speaker and empowerment expert Scott Mager on October 29th at 6:00 p.m. The “Power Up” event is open to community youth and their parents, and invites attendees to listen and learn about important life skills that will help teens to create their own personal path for success.

Scott Mager, also known as the Empowermentor, specializes in talking to teens and young adult audiences. During this seminar he will share his EMPOWER technique which defines how to create your own personal Happiness Action Plan (or HAP); stay focused on specific goals; overcome fear and personal doubt and most importantly earn the respect of others. This approach is designed to fundamentally change the course of one’s life.

During this event Mr. Mager will also share important statistics for parents related to drop-out rates, drug use and even suicide. Many will find the facts alarming but relevant. Teen parents and guardians in particular will gain a better understanding of how to talk to their kids and be a positive influence in their children’s lives.

“Scott is shining star. We are so thankful and thrilled that he is coming to share his ideas and proven techniques. As leaders in the community we continue to look for tools, training and other avenues that give residents a greater chance for personal success. At the Opa-Locka property we have made significant investments to enhance the safety and overall quality of life for our residents. And while we are proud of these initiatives, this event is really about the future of Opa-Locka,” said Dilip Barot, Founder Creative Choice Group.

He continues “This community in particular faces significant economic stress. Teens can easily lose their way. Often just one bad decision sets the tone for a lifetime. I believe the burden to mentor and lead the young people in our community falls on us. With Scott’s techniques and support tools, we feel our local teens will gain access to a blue-print for success.”

The event is free of charge. Food and drinks will be served and residents are encouraged to bring guests. Local school administrators, counselors and coaches are encouraged to take advantage of this free seminar as well.
